Women Fashion- Style Statement Before Comfort

Introduction-

Fashion has always been a luxury for individuals since the start of civilizations. Men and women have indulged in fashion from quite ancient times. There have been various upgradations in modern times, but the moral is everybody wants to look good and flaunt their beauty.
In ancient times also fashion sometimes used to be quite obsolete for both men and women when in the Egyptian civilizations men used to wear kohl and lipstick to make their features more detailed, and women used to wear beards.
As time is passing by, fashion is upgrading more and getting more trendy with a tag of irritability attached to it. The fashion industry is a global giant and is always in profit in the stock market because clothes are one of the essential needs of human. It is fine till then, but things take a turn when this basic need come with a lot of obsolete trends and as the society is getting trendy women fashion to be précised is getting more and more uncomfortable.

What were ancient fashion trends for women?

Women always love to dress up, the clothes act as an escalator to their grace. From the Mesopotamian civilizations to the Indus Valley civilizations we can notice various kind of fashion trends among women. But the thought comes that why is a maximum of them so painful which men don’t need to ornament them with.
Starting from rings attached in necks to make it look taller in ancient times to corsets in the medical time’s women fashion has always drawn a questionable mark on my face. No doubt they used to look good but at what cost?
Now, let us discuss some of the trends which have evolved recently to make women look prettier or should I say more strong to hide the pain to be a trend?

Modern day fashion trends-

Thongs-

Thongs

Women lingerie is made as such so that it can protect the private parts since these parts are more vulnerable to infection and diseases. But does any of these purposes is served by a string of cloth continues rubbing your genitalia? Yes, you are right. I am talking about thongs or G-string, one of the trendiest fashion ever. We see models in vogue posed in thongs with a body as perfect as if molded from fresh clay. We see, and we think of buying that without knowing the consequences. Thongs cannot protect your back; in fact, the continues rubbing of that string can damage your genital areas and make it more prone to diseases.

Underwired bra-

Underwired Bra
Underwired Bra

For women, the chest area is one of the most sensitive areas in the body and is not meant to get squashed or cut due to metal wear brassieres. Wired bras are meant to hold the breasts in shape in the cost of the wires digging inside your body. They stretch the breasts upward and stretches the muscles connected the breasts to the lower body portion. With time these muscles lose their flexibility and elasticity, and the breast continues to sag. And the physical pain of wearing an underwire bra continuously for a day can only be understood by those who wear it. In short, it’s an irreplaceable pain. You can’t bend, and sometimes you can’t even breathe properly because the wire clenches on your muscles with a very tight grip.

Corsets-

Corsets
Corsets

Corsets went out of trend after the end of the medieval era, but nowadays it’s making a comeback. Many celebrate, and public figures are wearing corsets to show off the cut and edges of their body. But behind that red lipstick marked smile, there is a body screaming for freedom. Just imagine if someone binds your full body tightly with ropes until the ropes start taking the shape of your body, making it difficult for the person to breathe. The thought of that pain is only making me shiver. Hats off to those ladies who are doing it every day. Corsets can also be called a bone-crushing garment. And do forget eating after you wear them.

Glue on nails-

Not only fashion trends, let’s talk a bit about beauty. Apart from doing several treatments in hair and making a mess out of them, we have not let our fingernails alone. There is a trend of attaching artificial nails to make the normal nails look longer. First of all, this is a very expensive treatment, and then they apply a lot of strong glue to hold the artificial nails tightly in place. There is a point of major discomfort because when the moment you become unaware of these nails, they can break, and the pain is equivalent to real nails breaking.

Chokers-

Choker
Choker

The word in itself sounds very uncomfortable. That decorative noose around your neck may look very dignified and fashionable, but in reality, they dig quite hard in the neck, restricting your blood flow and respecting the meaning of its name.

Bodysuits-

BodySuits

Bodysuits were first used only for swimming since it is said to accelerate the flexibility of the body, but now it has come trending in a fashion style as a suit covering your body throughout so if you need to take it out either you take out the full thing or you just be like that. Sounds okay right? But tell me something, what to do when you need to pee? You compromise your jewelry your hair your makeup and take out the full suite, or you just don’t drink water and die out of dehydration?

Heels-

Stilletos
Stilletos

Seen those models walking up and down the ramp in a perfect style with their perfect shoes? Pointy heels and pointy nose of a shoe makes it look quite fashionable. In this list of most obsolete fashion stilettoes rank the first. Be ready to sacrifice your feet and knee when you plan to buy stilettoes. The immense pressure exerted by the body on that small area of feet is enough to make the feet bones and the knee bones break. These aren’t meant for a perfect body posture. And you always have a 100% risk to trip and fall well that can look quite embarrassing.

Shapewear-

As the word sounds, it does exactly its purpose. It won’t be a lie if I say that this originated from the ancient Egyptian process of mummification cause that’s what it does. It wraps up your body firmly to hide the bulges and make you look fit. But the consequences are breathlessness and muscle ruptures

Strapless Bra

Strapless bra-

Again a differently kind of lingerie which literally has no meaning and is not at all meant for big busted women. Because at first, it’s just like a belt without any proper grip and every time you walk you will feel like its dropping down and secondly as you start sweating the areas clenched by the bra starts getting itchy and tight with adhesive sticking onto your body.

Sequins

Sequins look very beautiful with glittery shades all over they look very pretty in parties with dim lights. They will make you feel graceful from the outside, but in the inside, you just want to itch your body till you peel off your skin to get free from the irritating itchiness the Sequin is producing. It’s just like wearing a very colorful poison ivy.

Skinny jeans-

Skinny Jeans

Jeans have always topped as a very important fashion item. But skinny jeans are uncomfortable of the bunch. Denim that doesn’t have any lycra has no give until and unless you wash it. It clings to your body and chaff of the upper skin like what a sandpaper does to a marble floors. And if that’s not scary then let me tell you they also cause nerve damage.

Gladiator tie up sandals-

Strappy tie-up Sandals

As the name suggests, these sandals look like shoes that gladiators used to wear. Those shoes used to be very tightly strapped on with the legs till knees so that they can run when the enemy is attacking them. But now it has evolved as a women fashion with straps which leaves red marks behind because it stops the blood flow.

Low waist clothes-

Low-waisted
Low-waisted

Low waste clothes look very trendy, and with passing time, it’s just descending lower and lower to expose the perfect naval area. But what happens to the lower organs? We seem to forget about them completely. Those organs get crushed, and you will experience difficulties in breathing and eating. So before wearing those things for dinner, just remember not to order anything cause those foods will just go to waste. But now the trend of high wastes is again coming back, and we are very fortunate for that.

Conclusion-

Women nowadays are not so vulnerable, and while someone can carry these trends though, in the cost of their lives, some doesn’t want to. Everyone is amazing in their own ways with their own trends to carry out. It’s better to be a replica of anyone and making your own fashion statement. Starving yourself to fit in a skin-tight low waist jeans is not healthy at all. Your personality should show confidence rather than the clothes showing it.
