The Glenlivet, New York-based brand of Pernod Ricard USA, released its newest expression: “The Glenlivet 14-Yr-Old”. Featuring sweet and fruity aromas, the latest liquid is the first in The Glenlivet portfolio to introduce single-malt whiskey selectively finished in high-quality ex-cognac casks to the U.S. market, it says.
The Glenlivet, 14-Year-Old, marks The Glenlivet’s style of citrus and floral notes and creamy smoothness complemented by the luxurious influence of select ex-Cognac casks, which include moist raisins, chocolate, and licorice, to deliver a deep and intense experience, it explains. The brand new liquid is the latest step within the distillery’s quest to inspire and open up to a new era of whiskey drinkers by way of bold and unconventional flavor compounds and finishing techniques, it adds.
The Glenlivet, 14-Year-Old, will solely be available in the United States beginning this month.
To sync with the new color of The Glenlivet 14-Yr-Old’s packaging, The Glenlivet has teamed up with the Purple Heart Foundation to give back to those that serve by encouraging consumers to join them in raising a glass to service members, the company says.
For each bottle of The Glenlivet 14-Yr-Old bought to participating retailers from July 1 to Dec. 31, The Glenlivet will donate $1 to The Purple Heart Foundation, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $50,000, up to $100,000, it adds.
The Glenlivet 14-Year-Old, will likely be available for an MSRP of $55 for a 750-ml bottle and is the primary The Glenlivet expression to launch because the model unveiled a fresh new look and campaign earlier this year.
