Givaudan and Bühler Have Teamed Up to Boost Start-Ups

Givaudan and Bühler have teamed up to speed up market access for food start-ups in Switzerland. The intention is to help start-ups which offer options that deliver safe, affordable, and nutritious food that, if scaled globally, will contribute to feeding 10bn folks by 2050.

Through the new partnership, Givaudan and Bühler goal to intensify access to data, capabilities and international platforms for food start-ups, by internet hosting and mentoring entrepreneurs at their respective, newly-opened innovation facilities in Switzerland. By providing their expertise in complementary areas, Givaudan and Bühler hope to supply all of the help a start-up must scale-up and commercialize disruptive new solutions.

“As a part of our strategy of collaborative innovation, we’re delighted to partner with Bühler to assist food start-ups to succeed in bringing to market options that tackle our global food challenges. Our model new Zurich Innovation Heart offers the proper environment for outstanding start-ups to collaborate and access Givaudan’s world main technology, expertise, and capabilities,” defined Givaudan’s Head of Flavours Science & Technology, Fabio Campanile.

Of explicit curiosity are options within the fields of different proteins, sustainable animal feed, food safety, food fraud, authenticity, pure substances for food applications (colours, preservatives), flavors, nutrition (notably fiber, sugar, fats and salt discount), substances with proven health and nutrition benefits, and gentle processing.

Bühler’s Chief Technology Officer Ian Roberts stated: “Our just lately inaugurated innovation campus, the CUBIC, with collaboration spaces, laboratories and technology, and scale-up amenities complements the new Givaudan facility.  With our global presence, sales networks, digital platforms, and model power we’re satisfied that, collectively, we can provide an unequaled scale up the partnership for begin-ups.
